Histone Deacetylase 3

A histone deacetylase that catalyzes the deacetylation of the core HISTONES (H2A, H2B,H3, and H4) as well as other cellular proteins. It functions in the CELL NUCLEUS as part of the nuclear-receptor corepressor complex to regulate the GENETIC TRANSCRIPTION of NUCLEAR RECEPTORS.
