Retinoid Isomerohydrolase

A cis-trans isomerase that catalyzes the isomerization of all trans-retinol to 11-cis-retinol (VITAMIN A) in the dark. It is expressed in the RETINAL PIGMENT EPITHELIUM and also converts ALL-TRANS-RETINYL ESTERS to 11-cis-retinol.
