Serum-Glucocorticoid Regulated Kinases

Serine-threonine-protein kinases that regulates a variety of ION CHANNELS and MEMBRANE TRANSPORT PROTEINS, as well as cellular processes that include neuronal excitability, CELL PROLIFERATION; CELL SURVIVAL; and APOPTOSIS. They also have important roles in the cellular stress response (STRESS, PHYSIOLOGICAL), renal sodium retention and potassium elimination.
